Customs Duties and Taxes
At Marivelle, we work with international suppliers based in the United States, Europe, and Asia. As a result, in some cases, customs duties or import taxes may apply in the destination country.
Our goal is to ensure transparency and security for our customers, so here’s how it works:
European Union 🇪🇺
-
Since July 2021, the VAT (Value-Added Tax) system applies to international purchases.
-
This means that all orders shipped to EU countries are subject to local VAT, which ranges between 17% and 27%, depending on the country.
-
In some cases, administrative or handling fees may also be charged by the local carrier.
Important:
-
VAT and any additional fees are not included in the price paid on Marivelle’s website.
-
These charges, when applicable, must be paid by the customer upon release of the product by customs or the local carrier.
United States 🇺🇸
-
In the United States, low-value orders (below US$ 800) are usually exempt from customs duties.
-
For orders above this threshold, import taxes may apply, depending on the product category.
-
In some states, Sales Tax may also be charged at the time of delivery.
Important:
-
The majority of orders shipped to the U.S. are delivered without additional taxes, but customers should still be aware of this possibility.
Customer Responsibility ✅
-
Customs duties, import taxes, or local tariffs are the responsibility of the customer.
-
If charges are applied at delivery, they must be paid directly to the carrier or customs authority.
-
Marivelle has no control over the application of these fees.
Marivelle’s Commitment 💎
-
We carefully select reliable suppliers to minimize the risk of delays or extra costs.
-
We provide full support: if your order is held or if you have questions regarding customs charges, our customer service team will be available to guide you.
